OK, I wired up the VTEC light and it works. The Vtec LED came on around 4600 RPM and stayed lit the whole time. When I tried wiring it up to the secondaries per the earlier post here, the light never worked. When I put it back to the Green/yellow wire of the VTEC solenoid, it never worked again. I tested the continuity of the LED and it didn't work. SO, my conclusion is that I blew the LED when I hooked it up to the so called "secondary runners" per the advice of "ndustryalGSR" in the earlier post. I checked the wiring diagram and it states that the Pink/blue stripe wire is the Intake Air Bypass Control solenoid. Does this sound correct? The LED I used was a High intensity Blue color light rated at 5 volts/30mA/ 300 mcd. Did I buy the correct bulb? I remember folks talking about a 20mA bulb and a 40mA, so I figured the 30 would be OK. Anyone who can help, it would be greatly appreciated. Just as precautionary, I also tested continuity through the positive and the negative wires, and they checked out OK. Thanks

I don't have the vtec led (may be I will install it in a week or so)...but concerning your light, try to go with Zip's recommendation of the 660 ohms and see if that will help?

If the runner solenoid power is 12v, which it probably is, then that's what did in the 5v LED.
You could try the 5v LED with a variable potentiometer - Radio Shack sells a cheap assortment kit. With a pot. wired in series, you could adjust the brightness of the LED.

Well, it turns out that it was not the LED at all. It was like 4 A.M. when I finally gave up on it, and I think my memory gave up too. I wasn' seeing the VTEC LED coming on after I put it back the first way because I only revved it while sitting still. I forgot that the car has to be moving and the motor has to have a load to make the led work. The led is working just fine now, even though I replaced it with a new one. Thanks for the help, Although I am still curious as to make the VTEC light come on at 5700 instead of 4800 that I have now? Secondary runners?

What size of resistor are you using? The 360 or the 660 ohms ? Either one will work fine???

I am using the 330 wired on the positive lead to the LED. Works great now, but damn it is sure bright. almost reminds me of a shift light at night. BLinding Blue. I will get a pic her soon of all 4 of my gauges, indiglo's and the Vtec LED. friggin spaceship driving down the road.
